Tapestry Singers is proud to announce the recipients of our 2026 Scholarship, Hannah Lam and Maria Habingreither!
Each were awarded $3000 in support of their educational journeys and were selected for the joy, dedication and sense of community they bring to their choral experiences.
Hannah Lam plans to pursue a degree in Music Education, inspired by her years in choir and her desire to create spaces where students feel a sense of belonging through music.
Maria Habingreither will study Special Education, carrying forward the confidence, leadership and resilience she developed through her choral journey. While her career path is outside of music, she plans to keep singing as an important part of her life.
The Tapestry Singers Scholarship recognizes students who embody a love of singing, not just as a skill, but as a source of connection, growth and joy. We are honored to support Hannah and Maria as they take their next steps.
Tapestry Singers (aka Austin Women’s Chorus) is a welcoming, non-auditioned chorus for any woman who wants to sing. We celebrate each other as we joyfully create music that inspires us, our audience and our community. We welcome all singers, regardless of ability or confidence, to join our Monday night rehearsals or just to observe.
